Caring for quartz and sintered stone

Instructions vary by product and finish. What to check before using a cleaner.

Identify the product first

Keep the manufacturer, name, code and finish, and request its care manual. One brand’s instructions do not automatically apply to all quartz or sintered surfaces, or to visually similar marble.

Quartz cleaning and heat

For daily cleaning, choose a mild product and soft cloth according to the instructions for your particular surface. Remove residue and dry. Use a heat-resistant trivet for hot cookware. For stubborn stains, confirm a suitable method before using strong cleaners.

Sintered stone and finish

Check that the care instructions cover your finish, particularly for polished surfaces. Confirm compatibility of cleaners and scrubbing tools with the particular product. A surface’s resistance does not mean that every treatment is suitable.

If damage occurs

For cracks, chipped edges or joint problems, contact the installation company and supplier with photos and product details. Physical damage is not treated as an ordinary stain.
