Travertine: what to check before choosing

Appearance, surface and specifications: prepare the right questions for your project material.

A travertine photograph is a starting point for visual selection. Before ordering, define the finished surface, application and appearance of the proposed batch.

Define the appearance

Request images showing the direction of the pattern and a larger material surface. Include any design reference with your enquiry. Available cutting and processing options must be confirmed for the specific product.

Ask about the finished surface

Clarify whether the proposed material is supplied filled or unfilled and identify its finish. Relate the choice to the intended use and request relevant care instructions. Surfaces should not be treated as equivalent simply because they belong to the same stone family.

Connect the choice to the project

State whether the enquiry concerns flooring, cladding or another use, together with dimensions and quantities. For specific requirements, request information for the actual material and finish. Explore the quarry video on the company page and our travertine collection.
